Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Zhangye

    Upon arrival at Zhangye by flight or train, your guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel for check-in and rest. The remainder of the day is free.

    Day 2: Zhangye

    Explore Zhangye Danxia National Geopark, famous for its rainbow-colored sandstone formations. These stunning landscapes, often described as nature's overturned paint palette, offer incredible photography opportunities. Capture the interplay of light and color across the dramatic terrain.

    Day 3: Binggou Danxia / Dunhuang

    After breakfast, visit Binggou Danxia Scenic Area, renowned for its unique sandstone formations shaped by the Himalayan orogeny and erosion over millions of years. This area features "window-like palace" structures and is celebrated as one of China's most spectacular Danxia landforms.After lunch, take a high-speed train to Dunhuang. Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you at the station.

    Day 4: Dunhuang

    Visit the Mogao Caves, also known as the "Thousand Buddha Grottoes," a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest, most continuous Buddhist cave complexes in the world. Admire the intricate murals and sculptures spanning over a millennium.After lunch, explore Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring, a beautiful desert oasis. Experience the singing sands of Mingsha Mountain and photograph the crescent-shaped spring, a serene contrast to the surrounding dunes.

    Day 5: Dunhuang

    Visit Dunhuang Museum, where you can photograph exquisite murals and cultural artifacts.In the afternoon, explore Yardang National Geopark, known for its striking desert landforms such as "Golden Lion Welcoming Guests," "Peacock," and "Western Sea Fleet." Capture the desert landscapes, wetland formations, and the dramatic sunset over the Yardang formations.

    Day 6: Departure from Dunhuang

    After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the airport or train station according to your departure schedule, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable photography journey.
