Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Xi'an

    Daily Itinerary: Pick-up at the airport or railway station Welcome to Xi'an, the ancient capital and eastern gateway of the Silk Road. Upon arrival at the airport or train station, your private guide from Bespoke China Travel will greet you and escort you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for rest or light exploration at your own pace.

    Day 2: Xi'an

    Daily Itinerary: Terracotta Warriors Museum, Xi'an City Wall Cycling, Muslim Quarter, Datang Everbright City Start the day with the Terracotta Warriors Museum, which is hailed as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". Special Experience Included: Terracotta figurine making experience Then head to the Xi'an city wall where have fun with cycling on the wall, and enjoy the city views. Special Experience Included: Hanfu experience Proceed to the Muslim Quarter which is a famous food and culture block and you can find local snacks. In the evening, proceed to the Datang Everbright City to enjoy the gorgeous night views.

    Day 3: Xi'an to Zhangye

    Daily Itinerary: Shaanxi History Museum / Xi'an Museum Visit Shaanxi History Museum, one of the iconic attractions of Xi'an. After lunch, you will head to Xi’an Xianyang International Airport to fly to Zhangye, an important city on the ancient Silk Road.

    Day 4: Zhangye

    Daily Itinerary: Zhangye National Geopark Explore Zhangye National Geopark, a world-famous geological park renowned for its unique Danxia landforms and colorful hills.

    Day 5: Zhangye to Jiayuguan

    Daily Itinerary: Jiayuguan, Zixuan Wine Estate Drive to Jiayuguan city, passing by its most iconic landmark Jiayuguan Pass Tower which marks the western terminus of the Great Wall. Make a stop at the Zixuan Wine Estate. Here, you can learn about the wine-making process and wine tasting, even get hands on picking grapes.

    Day 6: Jiayuguan to Dunhuang

    Daily Itinerary: Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes Visit the world's largest, longest-standing and most culturally rich Buddhist cave complex Dunhuang, Mogao Grottoes, also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes.

    Day 7: Dunhuang to Turpan

    Daily Itinerary: Mingsha Mountain, Crescent Lake Visit Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake that are iconic natural wonders on the ancient Silk Road. Mingsha Mountain gets its name from the melodious sounds produced by wind blowing over its fine sand dunes. Crescent Lake is named for its crescent shape. In the afternoon, take bullet train to Turpan.

    Day 8: Turpan

    Daily Itinerary: Jiaohe Ruins, Karez Folk Custom Park, Grape Valley Start the day with Jiaohe Ruins, the world's largest and oldest city built of raw earth Then visit Karez Folk Custom Park. Learn about the ancient wisdom of water conservancy. Later, we will go to Grape Valley, where you can taste fresh grapes and enjoy Uyghur singing and dancing performances. In the evening, proceed to the Laocheng East Road Food Street to try local snacks.

    Day 9: Turpan to Urumqi

    Daily Itinerary: Turpan Museum, Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar First visit the Turpan Museum, the second-largest museum in Xinjiang, which showcases the economic, cultural, and artistic exchanges along the ancient Silk Road. Later drive to Urumqi. Upon arrival, explore the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar, which is filled with a variety of specialty shops.

    Day 10: Urumqi to Kashgar

    Daily Itinerary: Kashgar Old Town, Id Kah Mosque After breakfast, head to Urumqi Airport to fly to Kashgar. Later, visit Kashgar Old Town, one of the largest existing raw-earth architecture complexes in China and the "soul" of Kashgar. Along the way, we will also visit Id Kah Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Xinjiang.

    Day 11: Kashgar

    Daily Itinerary: Baisha Lake After breakfast, drive to Baisha Lake. It is a glacial moraine lake formed by melting snow from high mountains and underground water. The lake is surrounded by the Baisha Sand Dunes, which stretch for thousands of meters. Composed of over a dozen white sand hills of varying sizes, the dunes feature fine, frost-like sand that sparkles with a metallic sheen under the sun.

    Day 12: Departure from Kashgar

    After breakfast, you can continue to explore Kashgar Old Town on your own. Later, your driver will take you to Kashgar Airport for your departure to the next destination. We wish you a pleasant journey home and look forward to welcoming you back to China in the future.
