Terms and Conditions

1. Payment

A deposit equal to 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking. Final payment is required 25 days before departure; if booked within 25 days of departure, full payment is required. Receipt of your deposit or final payment indicates that you and your travel agent (when applicable) have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

We offer secure payment via:

  • Credit card (Visa / MasterCard) via PayPal or Airwallex — no PayPal account required, transactions encrypted
  • International bank wire transfer, for departures more than 30 days away
  • Cash or company checks by special request (personal checks not accepted)

If PayPal, Airwallex, or Bespoke China Travel suspects fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to temporarily suspend a booking and request an alternative payment method.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • 22+ days before departure: full refund (100%)
  • 15–21 days before departure: 70% refund
  • 8–14 days before departure: 50% refund
  • 0–7 days before departure: no refund
  • No-shows: no refund (100% charge)

Once a trip has begun, we cannot refund unused services due to unwillingness or inability to participate, early departure, late arrival, or missed tour days. This policy does not apply to groups of 10+ travelers or fees imposed directly by hotels, airlines, cruises, or railways — such fees are itemized separately.

3. Alteration of Itinerary

Alterations before booking are free. Alterations after the deposit is paid attract a $25.00 fee per request, plus any expenses charged by third parties such as airlines, cruise operators, or hotels.

4. Travel Documentation

Clients must hold a valid passport and any necessary visas or permits. Obtaining correct documentation is the client's sole responsibility; we can assist with the application process on request but accept no liability for a client's failure to obtain it.

5. Health Requirements

Clients are responsible for checking vaccination and health requirements for the areas they visit. Travelers to Tibet must provide a doctor's certificate confirming fitness to travel, due to the effects of high altitude.

6. Luggage Allowance

Domestic China flights allow 20kg (economy), 30kg (business), and 40kg (first class), plus limited carry-on. Excess baggage charges are the client's responsibility, and all checked luggage must have a locking device.

7. Insurance

Our tour packages include Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance up to $30,000 per adult, provided free of charge. We strongly recommend purchasing full travel insurance from your home country; this does not apply where only hotel or flight bookings are made through us.

8. Complaints and Claims

Please notify your travel advisor or our customer care team as soon as an issue arises. Complaints or compensation claims must be submitted in writing within 15 days of tour completion, with supporting receipts and evidence — Phone/WhatsApp: +1 (213) 221-9006, Email: support@bespokechinatravel.com.

9. Communications

You can reach us via our website form, email, or phone. If you do not receive a reply within 48 hours regarding a booking, modification, or cancellation request, please contact our customer service center directly.

10. Liability & Responsibility

We publish travel information and arrange bookings with selected hotels, airlines, and operators, but are not responsible for errors or omissions by third-party providers, nor for loss, injury, or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control (weather, mechanical failure, government action, strikes, epidemics, or similar). We reserve the right to substitute hotels, flights, or itineraries, or cancel a tour before departure — in which case a full refund will be issued. Activities such as boarding boats or climbing are undertaken at your own risk.

11. Modification or Discontinuance of Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue service to clients who behave illegally or objectionably toward our employees or agents.
