Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa

Day 2: Lhasa Cultural Exploration
Morning: Visit Norbulingka, stroll through the park with local Tibetans—oxygen-rich plants may help you acclimatize to the plateau faster. Explore one of Tibet's largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries to learn about Gelugpa teachings. Afternoon: Watch lively monk debates on ancient scriptures at Sera Monastery, a top Gelugpa monastery with thousands of Vajra Buddha statues.

Day 3: Lhasa - Potala Palace & Barkhor Street
Morning: Visit the Potala Palace, the world's highest palace complex with magnificent architecture and precious relics. Take photos at Potala Palace Square for a panoramic view. Afternoon: Hike to Jokhang Temple, moved by devout pilgrims. Wander Barkhor Street, an ancient Tibetan-style street with unique shops, restaurants, and a strong religious atmosphere.

Day 4: Lhasa to Shigatse (Yamdrok Yongtso Lake)
After breakfast, head to Yamdrok Yongtso Lake, one of Tibet's three sacred lakes, with jewel-like blue water that changes hues at different times and angles. Enjoy a bird's-eye view of its ribbon-like shape from Gangbala Pass Viewing Platform, admiring the beautiful blend of S307 Highway and the lake.

Day 5: Shigatse to Mount Everest Base Camp
Morning: Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the main temple of successive Panchen Lamas and one of the "Four Great Monasteries" of the Gelugpa sect. Drive about 6.5 hours to Mount Everest Base Camp, with breathtaking views of the Himalayas along the way. Spend an unforgettable night at the "Roof of the World" and admire the sunset over Mount Everest.

Day 6: Mount Everest Base Camp to Shigatse
Visit Rongbuk Monastery, the world's highest Tibetan Buddhist monastery (about 5,154m above sea level), 8km from the base camp and a perfect spot to view Mount Everest. Take a clockwise prayer walk, experience Tibetan cuisine like butter tea and tsampa, then transfer back to Shigatse.

Day 7: Shigatse to Lhasa
After breakfast, drive back to Lhasa (about 6 hours). Traverse the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, enjoying views of plateau lakes, rivers, snow-capped mountains, and traditional Tibetan villages along the way.

Day 8: Departure from Lhasa
Your guide and driver will transfer you to Lhasa Airport or Railway Station on time to ensure a smooth departure, concluding this unforgettable pilgrimage to Mount Everest.
